2011 Tablet Computers Are Making A Splash
Portability and Computing Power
The recent entry of the Amazon Kindle Fire, which is a 7 inch tablet, into the marketplace is making a splash because of the Android-based tablet's price point and capabilities. While Apple's iPad products feature proprietary technology, the Android platform would appear to make the Amazon offering more open to apps and widgets. Tablet computer makers are falling all over themselves to deliver tablet pcs at good prices, with touchscreen capabilities, longer battery life, wireless networking cababilities, and more. Toshiba, Sony, Apple, Dell, and Microsoft all have plans for hardware and software for tablets. Tablet accessories are going to be the next big thing at your local shop as well, since people are going to want speakers, connections, HDMI cables, wireless networking, backpacks, and bags for tablet notebooks and netbooks.
